New surgical approach to patellofemoral arthrosis

The use of Cartiva™ Implants is planned to start in Tokuda Hospital in Sofia/Bulgaria in the near future. It is used as Chondroplasty for innovative surgical treatment of patello-femoral excessive Lateral Pressure Syndrome (ELPS), Patellar Subluxation and Articular Cartilage Lesions of the patella. The small sized implants are used to treat painful Basal Thumb Arthrosis which causes severe disability. These implants aid in a speedy return to daily activities with a full range of motion. The other sized cylinders are installed in painful stiff Big Toe allowing fast return to painless and balanced walking.

The service in USP Palmaplanas was discontinued.
